JAM Out to Fatal Blow

Fatal Blow fans can jam out to some of the most popular songs from the No Soup For You album and total rock the house. Listed below are the downloads for the most popular songs playing on the radio now.

These are the original studio background tracks that have not been mastered and do not contain the lead guitar. You will want to purchase the full MP3 song and practice a little before you jump into jams below. But by all means, jam away - it's a free download. The TABs will be posted as they become available.

Each zip file contains the song in JAM and MP3 format. The JAM version is taken directly from my Line 6 Spider JAM. I use the JAM version to practice with using a cheap-o guitar I got from Amazon. The MP3 version is also included for those of you who do not have a Spider JAM. You can use the MP3 versions to play the song using a computer, MP3 player or how ever you like. I use the MP3 version for computer playback along with a TASCAM US-122 mkII interface for my effects system. I also use a pair of Roland cakewalk MA-15D digital studio monitors and my DigiTech RP500 Effects System so it sounds just like the final recording. With the patches below - you can get really close.

Song TitleDurationDownload JamBuy MP3 Song
No Soup For You 2:46 min
Red Zone 2:57 min
First Noel 2:32 min

Guitar Patches: Here are the Digitech RP500 guitar patches. I used the patches with a pair of XLR Monster DJ cables - XLR Male to XLR Female. The sound is much louder and the tone is much brighter over using the standard 1/4 input jacks. See the Gear section for more details. I hope you find them useful.

PatchUsageDownload Patch
Clean Rhythm Used in Doomsday for the rhythm
Keyboard Patch Used to patch the keyboard into the mixer
Lead Guitar Used in every song for the lead
Lead Hammer-on Guitar Used in White Thunder at the beginning
Rhythm - Tight Bass Used for songs written in E minor
Rhythm - Deep Bass Used for songs written in A minor
Rhythm - EH Flanger Used in White Thunder - whole song

Note: I keep my guitar volume on about 80% to cut down on some of the finger noise, but it doesn't really affect the tone. I keep my effects system volume and mixer volume at 50% and adjust the amp settings within the RP500 or the physical amp when playing live. When recording I keep the input volume in Cubase at 0db and adjust the RP500 amp settings to achive the proper volume level and tone. I do all of this to be consistent even though my first album was a little experimental with both the tone and effects.
